1st January Snow

The first measurable snowfall of the winter earned us a 2 hour delayed start for school. Just enough time to suit up and play a bit before getting ready for the day.

We have a fox in the neighborhood that likes to take refuge in our front yard during storms. We tracked his footprints in the snow and also found deer, squirrel and dog tracks.

2nd January Snow

Last week we finally got a decent snowfall. 3 days off from school (boo), but quality time with friends who lost electricity (yay!).

Todd and Isa also came up for a weekend visit and got to enjoy the snow with us. These two girls are going to be inseparable in Shreveport.

Little Rock, Part 4

Wow, I took a lot of pictures in LR.

We ventured across the river (gasp!) one day to check out this little train display at a NLR library. It wasn't quite as big as we thought it was going to be, but Sarah really seemed to enjoy it.

After the trains we ended up at this place in the River Market that was part of the Game and Fish Commission. Actually, I think I just made that up. I have no idea if it is part of the G&FC, but it sure did look like it.

Huge snapping turtles...

A rodent of some sort. Or maybe a snake.

Prickly Porcupine... oh wait, that's Anna.

Elevator vs Stairs. Stairs won, much to Sarah's dismay.

We introduced the girls to Jenga. It was surprisingly fun. Even Anna played by the rules a bit before realizing how much fun it was to knock the tower over on purpose.

I think this about finishes up the trip to LR. We obviously had a fantastic time and can't wait to go back without having to buy four plane tickets!

Little Rock, Part 3

Uncle Chip and Meg were able to make the trip for Christmas this year. I think they enjoyed experiencing Christmas with the girls and enjoying Mom's cooking.

The AirPogo. Anna loved it, though she doesn't have quite enough weight to take advantage of the Pogo aspect.

Sarah, on the other hand, can catch some serious air!

We got to help celebrate PaPaw's 84th birthday. How lucky am I to have this fella? Answer: VERY!

Trying to wait patiently for some birthday cake.

See, enjoying Mom's yummy cooking. In this case, pumpkin pie. I wonder how he rates it compared to GongGong's? It's a very close second!

Snuggles with Cheech and Baby Cousin!

Poor Mike just isn't used to all of this Bujarski togetherness.

Sweet Ty...

"Anna, don't open the door. Holly is still sleeping."
"I'll be VERY quiet."

Little Rock, Part 2

Presents galore.

We managed to hold the girls off until mid-morning on our first full day in LR. Sarah was pretty patient, but once Anna saw her name ("There's my A!") we had to let them dive in.

Anna got 9 puzzles for Christmas this year. Part of me feels bad about it, but she really likes them.

Sweet AC. She is so patient with the girls.

Caption contest, anyone? Please leave a comment... :-)

We love Silly Mike!

See, I told you she loves them. Look at her concentration.

Daddy had just stolen some of Mike's Christmas M&Ms from his stocking. I caught him red handed even though he tried to play it off. See how is lip is curling?

Introducing Bubba to Curious George, or maybe Super Why. Or maybe Bubba was introducing them to some Widespread Panic.
