Happy Thanksgiving!

We hope you all had a great holiday... we sure did! It was so nice to have JB home for so many days in a row. The girls and I got SO spoiled. Mom was here for a few days, too, and as always it was wonderful to have her around! She brought Sarah some "snow," which was a huge hit. We ate ourselves silly and Mom and I got some shopping done.
We also welcomed a special holiday visitor into our family. The Elf on the Shelf arrived on our doorstep this morning, straight from Santa himself. He reports back to Santa every night after bedtime and then returns by morning light to be Santa's eyes and ears. Sarah named our elf Cheerio (can you guess what she had for breakfast?) and she has already had several conversations with him about what she would like Santa to bring to her.
We pulled out all of the Christmas books this weekend. Sarah remembered most of the Christmas story and informed us tonight that Baby Jesus is 6 months old. We were glad she cleared that up!
Anna continues to be our little explorer. There is a video of her at the bottom!

Just a regular ol' week...

Nothing exciting to report this week. Just a few quick pictures of the girls. Look closely at the first one and you can see Anna's teeth. Yes, TEETH. She now has two and I have decided they are NO fun for me.

We can't wait to see TuTu this week! Gobble Gobble!

Half-y Birthday, Anna!

Anna Kathryn is 6 months old today. She has a tooth, has perfected the army crawl and has her first cold. Oh, and she's FINALLY sleeping through the night! My how our lives have changed in these few short months. They've gone by so quickly. I hope they slow down. I don't want to miss a single thing.

Another week...

Nothing too exciting to report this week. The leaves have finally started to fall and we spent some time raking this weekend. Sarah likes to have a big pile at the bottom of her slide. We also spent an insane amount of time last week trying to get Anna to drink from a cup. She's getting there, but since she is refusing the bottle (only Mommy will do!) and not yet drinking from a cup I had to cancel my trip to New Orleans for my sister's bachelorette party. It was a really hard decision and many tears were shed. They had a great time without me and I have been assured that they drank a hurricane, a pina colada and a hand grenade in my honor.

Anna on the move...

Anna has absolutely no interest in sitting. She would much rather be on her tummy perfecting her new skill. Practice makes perfect!

Halloween 2008

Yeah! Halloween is over! We had a very busy week. Grandma and Grandpa arrived on Wednesday for a visit and were a great help in keeping Sarah's excitement about candy at bay. The festivities began with a parade at school on Thursday. We bundled Anna up and joined the throng of people on the parade route. Later that night JB and I carved our pumpkins while Sarah decorated hers with markers. Friday after dinner we got them dressed and headed out to roam the streets with the ghosts and goblins. Sarah was a cowgirl and Anna was a love bug, complete with a tutu and wings!
