Big Sisters Are Funny

Sarah was really hammin' it up for Anna at dinner the other night and Anna decided to let out her first real belly laugh. Of course, by the time we found the camera the fun was almost over, but we caught a second or two of it.

We managed to survive the first wave of rain from Tropical Storm Fay (more expected today and we are currently under a tornado watch). We spent most of Saturday inside watching the rain fall. Sarah did get out a bit to enjoy the rain as only a kid can. I have no idea what she is singing in the video, but it seems to be an important part of whatever it is she's playing!

First Day of School

All I have to say is Hallelujah! We survived the last few weeks with flying colors, but Sarah and I were both excited about today. She was a tad nervous about having new teachers, but felt better when Mrs. Janette and Mrs. Nancy (director and asst. director) met her at the door and realized that she would be in the same room with the same routine. The a/c wasn't working when I dropped her off and it was already a bit warm. Hopefully she isn't one big ball of sweat when I pick her up later.

Here are a few pictures and one from last year's first day so you can see how much she's grown! Apparently I like to dress her in blue for first days...

We miss you, Aunt Beth!

Sarah's personal playmate had to go home. We enjoyed every second of Aunt Beth's visit and were sad to see her leave. She played countless games, spent many, many hours pretending and even kept BOTH girls one night so we could go out to dinner. Aunt Beth has set the bar for the other three Aunts out there. :-)

My time behind the camera has decreased since she left, but here are a few quick shots of the girls...

Anna cuddling with her animals.

Sarah and I had a rainy day picnic inside her tent. We also had the sleeping bag and flashlights out for a little indoor camping.

Anna Update

THere have been a lot of Sarah pictures lately and I feel like Anna needs equal blog time, so here is a quick update and a few videos. We now have a roly-poly on our hands. Anna is rolling from her tummy to her back and from her back to her side. This new found skill is causing sleeping issues, though. She stirs just a little, rolls over and then can't find her thumb. I tried to catch her rolling over on video, but of course she didn't do it. I did catch few smiles and some spit-up, though!

Tennis Camp

Aunt Beth (aka tennis coach extraordinaire) brought Sarah her very own tennis racquet. They have been having "tennis camp" every morning in the backyard. Beth says she is a natural. Watch out Wimbledon, here we come!

Aunt Beth

Aunt Beth has arrived! I snapped a few pictures of she and Sarah washing the car this morning. Don't worry, Grandma, they aren't having any fun at all!
Don't stick the hose down my suit!
Two can play this game!
Next time you should wear your suit, Aunt Beth!

The Next Generation...

Those of you who have known me since childhood know what a big deal this is. I even got teary eyed when she asked to watch the puppet show again and again and again!
