She wants to be just like me!
I forgot to post this with the blog from yesterday and since I went on a statewide search for one of these pictures (I found it in Fort Smith) I thought I'd better not let my efforts go to waste. Cheech, hope you don't mind being posted for all the world to see. At least you have all of your teeth! Too bad Mom couldn't find the super cool feather or the fun arm bands.

We were having so much fun in Arkansas that we decided to extend our trip by a day so we could drive up to Fort Smith to see PaPaw and Granny. For those of you who don't know Granny, she is my 102 year old great grandmother (Sarah's great-great!). She has had some health issues over the last few months, but amazingly has bounced back from every one. She now only recognizes Papaw and Mom, but lights up like a Christmas tree when Sarah is around. They shared a drink and some snacks and played with Easter Eggs. We were very sad to leave her and she was sad to watch us leave, but the moments she had with Sarah were priceless!

When we got back to Little Rock I decided it was finally time for Sarah's first hair cut. It only took 3 years! I wouldn't have trusted anyone but Phyllis to cut it, so we tagged along on Mom's appointment and then got a trim. Sarah did a great job and the curls came back!

Happy Easter!
We've had a great weekend here in Little Rock. The day started with cinnamon rolls and an Egg Hunt in the front yard. The Easter Bunny left a basket full of goodies for Sarah and Baby Sister. We had lunch with the Vaughts and yet another Egg Hunt.
Tomorrow JB and I head to Hot Springs. Not too sure what we are going to do yet, but I'm sure we'll come up with something! Sarah will be hanging out with TuTu and Gramps. They have a trip to the zoo and a playdate on their agenda.
Here are some pictures from today. We'll post some more from the trip when we get home later this week.

Spring Break
It's amazing how much I depend on having 2 mornings a week to myself. Despite missing my down time, we really had a great week. The weather was good most days, so Sarah and I spent a lot of time outside. We went to open gym at her gymnastics place and she got to play in the pit. She also mastered walking on the small balance beam by herself. I think she was really proud. I'll try to get a video of it this week. Grandma and Grandpa sent an Easter package yesterday. I thought about saving it for the weekend, but she beat me to the front door to get the box, read her name on the address lablel and squealed with delight, "It's for ME!" We're headed to Little Rock on Friday for Ashley's Baby Shower, Easter, and a much needed Mommy and Daddy trip. We are ALL excited!
Yes! Jelly Beans!
She went for the chocolate egg first. She's definitely my daughter!
Her first set of stamps. So far they have managed to stay on paper and haven't migrated to body parts!

Green Eggs and Ham
Sarah came home from school on Thursday and announced that she wanted play with her playdough. After methodically filling a plastic plate with bits of green playdough she informed me that my green eggs and ham was ready. As I was about to take a bite she said, "Wait, I'll be right back." She came back a few minutes later wearing her entire doctor outfit and then gave me my plate. I asked why she was wearing her doctor stuff and she said, "Because I'm Dr. Seuss." Of course, how silly of me...

Relaxing weekend...
We couldn't have asked for the weather this weekend to be any nicer. We spent a ton of time outside... the backyard was finally dry enough to play on. Sarah and I went to see the local ballet company perform Cinderella. She seemed to enjoy it, despite asking just as the curtain went up, "Where is Tinkerbell?" Funny, since she's never seen Peter Pan! We also went to the zoo today and got to see the baby elephant. Sarah said that was her favorite part, but I think that's only because we skipped the train this trip.
Ready for Cinderella... complete with Cinderella outfit and, though you can't see them, Cinderella panties.
