The Birthday Extravaganza

What a weekend... In true Bujarski style Sarah's birthday was a weekend-long event. Last night we fell into bed exhausted, but happy that the weekend was a success and that Sarah had such a great time. We started the big day by taking Grandma and Grandpa to Pump It Up, followed, by lunch, a cupcake and presents galore. It took her all afternoon to open every one. We spent Saturday up in Birmingham where we took Sarah to her first play (Jack and the Beanstalk), then to the Science Museum and finally an early dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. Sunday was spent getting ready for the birthday party, having the birthday party and cleaning up after the birthday party. Luckily the weather was fantastic and we spent the whole party in the front yard. Here are some pictures and one video from the Science Museum that is hilarious and a bit creepy at the same time. Enjoy!

Birthday Week

Our Baby turns 3 this week. I can't believe how fast she has grown. I guess that's how it goes, huh?

We're looking forward to the birthday festivities and especially a visit from Grandma and Grandpa. Pictures next week should be good ones! In the meantime enjoy this walk down memory lane...

Nothing terribly exciting to report this week. I managed to survive the stomach flu and the rest of the house managed not to catch it at all. Sarah has finally figured out how to pedal her tricycle, but has no idea how to steer the thing. I think I'm going to rig it with rope and walk behind her to help. We'll see...

A package from Grandma and Grandma arrived today. While the Dora Valentine stickers and Animal Crackers were a big hit Sarah has proven that she isn't too old to play with the packaging.

Check out how she sorted it all by colors. My little genius!

Next they became beds for every one of her babies as well as Little Girl and Little Boy.

A rare mid-week post...

Here is our little gymnast in her new blue leotard. She just loves "umnastics" and says her favorite thing is forward rolls. I'll try to post a video, too.

Nothing new to report this week. We had a few playdates, made sugar cookies and went to a trial gymnastics lesson. I'll take the camera to our first official class this week and post some of them later. We've also noticed that our dear, sweet little girl has become quite the whiner lately. My current theory is that we threw in the towel too fast with nap time and that 11.5 hours of sleep a night just isn't cutting it. She's currently snoozing away with JB on the couch and falls asleep at random times in the car. At least she'll be well rested for the Super Bowl.
Playing a duet with Buzz.
I rolled out the dough and she went to town.
Putting on sprinkles was her favorite part.
She has mastered drawing a circle and is great at lines. Now if she could only put them together to make something recognizable...
Sleeping Beauties.
I'm getting better at lining this stuff up. Thanks for the tip, Maria!

Circus, Circus

We headed to Birmingham today with tickets to the Circus in hand. We got there in just enough time to see a little bit of the pre-show (along with everyone else)... jugglers, clowns, and a painting elephant. When the show started Sarah was a bit overwhelmed with all of the lights and sounds, but she enjoyed every minute of it. As we were leaving she said her favorite parts were the horses and the elephants. The elephants were pretty cool, but I felt sorry for the poor saps that had to follow them around with shovels and sawdust.

Sarah started the day with some waffles and the Comics.

Up close and personal with Kelly Ann the painting elephant.

Here come the horses.

Goofing off during intermission.Watching the elephants.

PS. I still can't figure out how to make my text and pictures line up like I want them to. SO annoying!

Testing, Testing...

I'm trying to figure out how to do the blog thing. I'm thinking it will be easier to do this several times a month instead of uploading pictures. It takes forever to do do that and we all know that my computer time will soon be snoozing time.

So, here goes. Hopefully the pictures come through right.

Sarah preparing for her first time on the ice..

JB had a sore back after only 2 trips around the rink. Sarah was more interested in watching the other kids on the ice than moving her feet.

The weather for Aunt Holly's trip was less than perfect, but we had a great time anyway. She REALLY enjoyed Pump It Up.
